My husband, Paul and I live in Trinity, Florida in the winter and Blowing Rock, North 
CCarolina in the summer. Since retirement, we have enjoyed traveling places we have 
dreamed about forever.  We recently spent 38 days in Europe to celebrate our 25th 
wedding anniversary. Our next trip is scheduled in a few months to England, Ireland, 
Scotland, Wales and ending in Germany.

Since our trip to Europe we have made great strides in finding new relatives and 
discoveries about our families, one of late being the connection to a fellow BUBECK 
who was determined to be my cousin after he had his DNA completed and we found we 
were only one marker different; hence, we are cousins!

Paul and I also enjoy visiting with family and friends, hiking in the mountains of 
NC, walking the beaches in FL, volunteering for our various community projects, 
designing websites, and playing on our computers. My passion and most fun hobby is 
working on our family genealogy...it's like working on a giant puzzle with some of the 
pieces missing. Each year brings us closer to finding those missing family members 
we have been researching for over a dozen years.  Genealogy enables us to meet many 
new friends while we explore our family history enabling us to find out whether our 
new friends are related to us! 

Paul's primary paternal family surnames are: 

"WELLS & HOOVER" who originated in CT, MD, VA and NC and who then migrated to 
Ginghamsburg, (Miami County) and Dayton, (Montgomery County) Ohio, with some WELLS 
family who apparently migrated from Wales and Scotland.

Paul's primary maternal family surnames are:

'REED ~ ROHDE' families who predominantly lived in Dayton and Cincinnati, Ohio.  Our 
REED family was from Scotland and our ROHDE family is from Germany.

My primary paternal family surnames are:

'ROBERSON ~ BUCHANAN ~ SPRATT ~ TRENT' family who migrated primarily from North 
Carolina and Virgina/West Virginia after migrating from Scotland. 

My primary maternal family surnames: 

"BUBECK ~ KLOPFER ~ BAISCH ~ LAUTENSCHLA(E)GER" lived in the Montgomery, Miami and 
Darke County, Ohio area after migrating from Germany.
